Description of content: The purpose of this Communiqué is to determine the characteristics of fruit juice and similar products in order to ensure that they are produced, prepared, processed, preserved, stored, transported and marketed in accordance with their specific techniques and under hygienic conditions.

This Communiqué covers fruit juice, fruit juice with reduced naturally occurring sugars, fruit juice produced from concentrate, fruit juice produced from concentrate with reduced naturally occurring sugars, fruit juice concentrate, fruit juice concentrate with reduced naturally occurring sugars, fruit juice extracted with water, fruit juice powder, fruit nectar, fruit purée and fruit purée concentrate.

Provisional Article

(1) Food businesses operating before the publication date of this Communiqué must comply with the provisions of this Communiqué until 31 December 2027.

(2) Products that comply with the provisions of the Communiqué repealed by Article 18, operated by food businesses operating before the publication date of this Communiqué, may remain on the market for their shelf life, provided that they are placed on the market before 31 December 2027.
